• Long Phu 1 2x600 MW Super-critical Coal-fired Power Plant – Vietnam (2016-present) Super-critical Coal-fired Power Plant with two supercritical boilers, with a total capacity of 1200 MW inserted in a complex that includes two more power plants to be built. The power plant includes also the following main systems: ESP, FGD, SCR, Hydrogen generation station and DCS system. My role in the project is acting as a consultant for the Owner’s engineer for the I&C scope of the power plant during design review, construction and commissioning; • Duyen Hai 1 2x622 MW Coal-fired Power Plant – Vietnam (2013-2016) Coal-fired Power Plant with two sub-critical boilers, with a total capacity of 1244 MW inserted in a complex that includes three more power plants to be built. The power plant includes also the following main systems: ESP, Seawater FGD, SCR, Hydrogen generation station and Emerson Ovation DCS system. The total project value was approximately 1400 Million USD. My role in the project was acting as a consultant for the Owner’s engineer for the I&C scope of the power plant during design review, construction and commissioning;

• Project management of Electrical and I&C Engineering and Erection activities for the KivuWatt phase 1 – Methane gas offshore platform in lake Kivu – Rwanda; • Leading the FEED, scheduling and budgeting activities for the following EPC projects: o Ncondezi 600 MW Coal fired power plant – Mozambique; o Ressano Garcia 100 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant – Mozambique; o Kelar 500 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant – Chile. • Responsibilities included also the all Electrical and I&C FEED activities including Electrical systems, DCS, I&C systems, Fire and gas detection systems and Commissioning procedures.

• Between November 2011 and August 2012 - I&C Construction manager for TGU 700 MW Combined-cycle Power Plant. The CCPP included 6 GE Gas turbines, 6 HRSGs, 2 Air-cooled condensers and 2 GE Steam turbines; • Electrical and I&C Engineering activities in the following projects: • Bachaquero 495 MW combined cycle power plant – Venezuela, • Tamare 525 MW combined cycle power plant – Venezuela. • My responsibilities also included the Electrical and I&C FEED activities for several budgetary and binding offers for EPC projects for Combined Cycle, Coal-fired and Solar Power Plants, namely by issuing the following documents: • Single Line Diagrams; • Electrical consumers’ lists; • Power Cable lists; • Technical specifications of the following equipment: o Main step-up transformers; o Distribution transformers; o High current busducts; o MV switchgear; o LV switchgear; o Power cables; o Emergency diesel generators; o DCS system; o Field instruments; o Fire and gas detection and alarm systems; o I&C cabling. • DCS architecture; • Instrument lists; • I/O lists; • Cable lists; • Commissioning procedures; I’ve been responsible for FEED activities for the following binding offers for EPC projects: • SHAMS 1 – 100 MW Solar power Plant – Abu Dhabi – UAE; • Sines Combined Cycle Power Plant 2x400 MW – Portugal; • Lucciana B – Diesel power Plant 7x18 MW – Corsica – France; • Votarantim – Combined Heat and Power Plant 150 MW – Brazil; • Zenica – Combined Cycle Power Plant with District Heating – Bosnia-Herzegovina; • UTE Parnaíba – Combined Cycle Power Plant 2500 MW – Maranhão – Brazil I’ve been responsible for FEED activities for several budgetary offers for EPC projects, namely: • Manzanillo – Combined Cycle Power Plant and LNG terminal – Dominican Republic; • ELPAEX II – Combined Cycle Power Plant for a refinery – Venezuela; • ALPA – Combined Cycle Power Plant – Brazil; • eSOLAR – 50 and 125 MW Solar Tower Power Plant – Worldwide; • Takoradi II – Expansion to combined cycle – Ghana; • Bioeléctrica – 50 MW Biomass Power Plant – Brazil; • Etilleno XXI – Combined Cycle Power Plant for a refinery – Mexico.

Lecturing classes to Electrical Engineering students namely in the following courses: • Control Systems I; • Control Systems II; • Control Systems III; • Instrumentation and Control Laboratory; • Power Electronics; • Advanced Power Electronics; • Digital Electronics; • Electric Machines I; • Electric Machines II. Between the year 2000 and 2008 I´ve been also in charge of the coordination of the three months internships that the Electrical Engineering students undertake to get the degree. This position allowed me to maintain close contact with the industry. During the years I’ve been the tutor of more than twenty final projects mainly the following areas: • Industrial Automation; • Classical Control Systems; • Modern Control Systems (state- space modeling and analysis) • Instrumentation; • Microcontrollers; • Power Electronics and Drives.
